Scrumball offers three email connection methods for influencer outreach. Compare enterprise SMTP, Google API integration, and Scrumball's native email system to choose the best option for your campaigns.
Enterprise Email (SMTP)
The SMTP method connects through authorized access to your email's sending and receiving capabilities. Able to conduct normal email communication with influencers.
However, the authorization process is relatively complex and may take some time to set things up.
✅ Generally Recommended – Fully customizable email service settings, suitable for outreach campaigns of any scale.
Google API Integration
Simple, all you need to do is connect your Google account and link your Gmail service with just one click.
However, due to Google API limitations, inbox receiving is not supported. Influencer replies are sent to your Scrumball inbox and then forwarded to your Gmail account.
⚠️ Not Recommended - Sending emails works normally, but receiving functionality is affected.
Native Email System
Uses Scrumball's built-in sending and receiving system. Simple and fast without any setup required.
However, emails will be sent with a @scrumball.com suffix.
⚠️ Conditionally Recommended:
Recommended for small-scale outreach that doesn't require strong brand association, or for users unfamiliar with email configuration.
Not recommended for large-scale professional outreach or when brand image is a priority, as the Scrumball suffix may affect influencer brand recognition.
